Modern membership website for a leading, forward-thinking PR institute

PRII - Public Relations Institute of Ireland

A friendly and inviting, yet stylish website with a powerful and impressive membership management engine.

The Challenge

THE PRII approached us with a very focused brief which centred around increasing membership. A stylish, usable, and flexible site was a given, but the PRII were very clear on the central goal of this project. Potential members should find the membership signup process - including a secure payment process - quick, reliable and easy to use. The aims of this project were:

  • Promote memberships
  • Events and Training
  • Digest newsletter
  • Advertise Jobs
  • Make public aware of PRII goals
  • Answer the question "why PRII?"
  • Promote the profession

Process

As with all our projects, we started by distilling the core requirements of the brief, and by understanding the business objectives and the target audience. We collaborated with the PRII on the user journey, establishing the ideal pathway and the desired destinations, and what could help the users on the way. Moving onto design, we developed a mobile-first visual concept which was warm, friendly as well as clean, modern and professional. We then built the site around our recommended content management system, Modx, which is an open source CMS, and which gives you control over your website and allows you the freedom to make changes to it as your business grows without needing the technical knowledge.

Our Solution

A strong, professional relationship with the PRII allowed us to develop a fresh new website ensuring an accessible membership signup process for their end-users.

Gaining a deep understanding of how the PRII operates and its mission was key for this project's success.
